Overview
Yes — remodels, construction, and layout changes can directly affect your Berry AI cameras and system performance. When cameras are blocked, moved, or covered, Berry cannot properly track vehicles, customers, or transactions.
To avoid system issues, please notify Berry Support before any remodel, construction, or ceiling work begins.
Why Remodels Affect Berry AI
Your Berry AI system depends on:
Clear camera visibility
Stable mounting positions
Unobstructed lanes and counters
During remodels:
Cameras may be covered by plastic or dust shields
Ceiling tiles or mounts may be moved
Lighting and angles may change
Cables may be unplugged
These conditions can cause:
Missing or inaccurate data
Blurred or blocked video
Cameras going offline
Incomplete reporting
What To Do Before a Remodel
Please contact Berry Support before construction begins.
Provide:
Store name and location
Remodel start date
Expected end date
Areas being remodeled (drive-thru, POS, ceiling, etc.)
Updated Floor Plans
Updated Drive-Thru or Parking Lot Plans
This allows Berry to:
Pause or flag your data
Prevent false alerts
Schedule re-calibration after the remodel
If a Remodel Has Already Started
If cameras are currently blocked or covered:
Notify Berry Support immediately
Do not attempt to move cameras without guidance
Berry will help determine the next steps and recovery
After the Remodel
Once construction is complete:
Berry may need to recalibrate or reposition cameras
Support may request new photos or a virtual walkthrough
This ensures your data returns to full accuracy.
