If one or more of your Berry AI cameras are offline, you can restore connectivity by power cycling the PoE switch, a hardware device that connects all of your cameras together.
Signs that there is an issue:
- One or more live camera feeds on your Berry AI monitor no longer display the live camera views.
- Berry AI's Support team reached out to you because they have discovered an issue.
Resolution Steps:
- First, locate the PoE switch. It's located next to the Berry AI server, where your restaurant technology and networking equipment are also located. The PoE switch will have 3 to 7 network cables plugged into it.
See "Example of PoE Switches" at the bottom of this page to help you find the device. - Locate the black power cable plugged into the PoE switch. See image below for an example of what the power cord looks like:
- Unplug it and verify that the lights on the front of the switch have turned off. Wait 10 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the PoE switch. Verify that the lights on the front of the switch are turned on.
- Please wait for 15 minutes for your camera feeds to be restored. If the Berry AI Support Team contacted you, please let them know that you followed these resolution steps and they will verify if connectivity has been restored.
